Jaime gets to the bottom of things

When I first started to think about the results of this poll, I could not help but think that Scoop's opinion was very influential in the voting. As longtime Fun House visitors know, Scoop thinks that it is upon Ms. Pressley's ass on which the sun rises (or should that be moon?). In hindsight, however, that theory holds little water when one considers that Scoop's other choice for greatest gluteus, Naomi Campbell, didn't even crack the top ten. Forgive the puns, I just can't help myself.

As I told those of you who emailed me, I appreciated all the suggestions for nominees. I am in no way an ass man. If I had to choose someone based simply on ass, I probably would go for the Botticelli look. That's just me. It looks like there aren't a lot of Heavy D fans out there though as the baby with the most back, Holly Hunter, managed less than 2.5% of the total.

What is the story with Phoebe Cates? Is she just content to be Mrs. Kevin Kline these days? Did she develop leprosy or something? She has dropped way out of the public eye. She still gets her fair share of support though. I guess that goes back to Fast Times. EVERY male member of generation X, including me, fell in love with her in that movie. She left an indelible mark there and obviously also with the Blue Lagoon ripoff, Paradise. I have read conflicting reports that those full frontal underwater shots in that movie were of a body double. Anyone got a line on that? Scoop? Tuna? Snowblind?

Speaking of Snowblind, that guy does a hell of a job with the message board. If you're not checking it out, I recommend doing so at least every couple of days. He gets some rare material on there and promptly posts all requests.

Getting back to the poll, I guess everyone except for Jaime was playing for second place anyway. Looking at the results, she could have lapped the field with one cheek tied behind her back. Didn't I read in the Fun House that she is no longer going to do nudity? I guess it's not really a tragedy as she has done a substantial amount already.

The ladies who surprised me with their lack of support were, as I said before, Holly Hunter, along with Milla Jovovich and Kim Basinger. I thought the scene in 9 1/2 Weeks would be enough to make Kim place high on the list. Milla also has a farily nice bottom for such a thin frame. The most interesting part of these polls for me is not who wins them, but who ends up finishing much lower than I expected. I guess the only winner so far that has shocked me was Emily Watson for the "Best Actress of Post Baby Boom Generation". The other polls usually hold few surprises but the runners up are rarely in the order that I imagine.

Perhaps they will fare better in this one.
